Ron Shepherd

Attorney


Ron was born in Garden Valley, Idaho and has lived in Idaho for all but three years of his junior high school days. Ron graduated from Boise State University in 1999 and attended law school at the University of Idaho College of Law where he earned a juris doctorate degree in 2002. Ron immediately joined the outstanding Nampa law firm of Hamilton, Michaelson and Hilty, LLP (“HMH”). Ron worked as the Caldwell City Prosecuting Attorney during his first two years with HMH during which time Ron gained valuable trial experience and developed rapport and trust with the judges, many of whom are still on the bench in Canyon County. In 2005, HMH promoted Ron and transferred him into civil litigation. Ron initially handled a general civil litigation docket under the leadership of senior partner Terry Michaelson. Ron excelled in his civil litigation practice and was made partner of HMH in 2008.

Ron continued a general civil litigation practice, primarily practicing in the areas of construction litigation, creditor rights and collections, consumer protection law, commercial transactions, real estate transactions, real estate litigation, eminent domain (condemnation), medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury and bankruptcy litigation. In 2013, Ron founded the law firm of R. Shepherd Law, PLLC in order to focus his practice on personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice and other related practice areas. Ron continues to represent clients in various areas of law such as collections, construction law and litigation, real estate litigation and business litigation, among others.

Ron has five sons, and one daughter. Ron is actively involved in the following community and professional organizations, among others: Third District Bar Association (Member); Meridian Optimist Club (Member); Idaho Elite Basketball Club Coach; Boise Noon Optimist Football Coach, Youth Baseball Coach; Nampa Police Activities League (Former Board of Directors); Latah County Republican Party (Former Secretary).

Brenda Seeger

Office Administrator


Brenda has called Idaho home for over 30 years, with the exception of six years in Seattle and one year in Kinshasa, Zaire, Africa. Brenda attended Boise State University and is a federal certified transcriptionist. Brenda has worked at the law firms of Hawley, Troxell, Ennis & Hawley, LLP (“HTEH”) and Hamilton, Michaelson & Hilty, LLP (“HMH) over the past 12 years. During Brenda’s six-year tenure at HMH, she assisted Ron Shepherd in his civil litigation practice. Brenda and Ron built an excellent working relationship while at HMH. In 2013, Ron opened the law firm of R. Shepherd Law, PLLC and invited Brenda to join him as his Office Administrator. Brenda continues to strive to provide the best possible support to Ron and to the clients of R. Shepherd Law.

Brenda has three sons, one daughter, five granddaughters and one grandson. Brenda is an avid Boise State football, Seahawks and Mariners fan, and also enjoys a good UFC fight!

Allison Evenson

Legal Assistant


Allison is from Oregon and graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelors in Health Management and Policy. She was in the healthcare field for a handful of years and then transitioned to the legal field. She also worked for Hamilton, Michaelson & Hilty, LLP for over two years as their Receptionist / Office Administrator. At R. Shepherd Law, Allison focuses on personal injury cases and office administrator duties.

She met her husband, who is from Boise, and moved to the Treasure Valley after they got married. She and her husband enjoy golfing, target and clay pigeon shooting, going to football games and going to Steelhead hockey games. They have a son and hope to adopt a second child.

Angela Blakney

Receptionist


Angela was born and raised in Boise and graduated from Boise High School in 1998. Angela’s career started in healthcare and customer service. Shortly after meeting her husband, Josh, and starting a family, Angela made the decision to stay home and raise her children. Angela and Josh moved to Montana, where Josh was born and raised. While in Montana, Angela fell in love with the art of cooking and became a sous chef at a rafting company in Glacier Park. After five years in Montana, Angela and Josh made the decision to come home to Idaho and purchase a home in Middleton.

Angela has joined the team at R. Shepherd Law as receptionist where she excels in the service she provides our clients. Angela is a true asset to R. Shepherd Law.

Angela and her family are huge Green Bay Packers fan, and are avid outdoorsmen who enjoy fishing, hunting, camping and motorcycle riding, just to name a few. The Blakney family also enjoys spending time at their sons’ football and soccer games, as well as their daughter’s softball games.
