Andrew Yagoda

Andrew Yagoda brings nearly three decades of legal experience to a high-quality, highly personalized civil litigation and business-oriented practice. He represents individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and businesses, with an emphasis on practical judgment, strategic problem-solving, and understanding each client's particular objectives.

Throughout his career, Andrew has handled matters involving civil and commercial litigation, business and contract disputes, real estate, probate and estate administration, trusts, and employment matters. He also devotes a significant part of his practice to serving as general counsel to regional businesses, advising owners and management on the legal and practical issues that arise in day-to-day operations, transactions, contracts, employment matters, risk management, and disputes.

Andrew's business perspective predates his legal career. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems (MIS) and worked as a computer programmer before obtaining his law degree. That combination of technology, business, and legal experience contributes to an analytical and practical approach to solving complex problems.

Andrew believes effective representation begins with understanding what a client is actually trying to accomplish. He emphasizes preparation, accessibility, clear communication, and candid advice. Not every dispute belongs in a courtroom, and he seeks practical solutions when they advance the client's interests. When litigation is necessary, he brings the preparation, discipline, and persistence required to advocate effectively.

After practicing law in Florida for many years, Andrew brought his experience to Idaho. Throughout his career, he has also remained committed to the communities in which he lives and works, contributing his time to philanthropic efforts and serving on various nonprofit boards and organizations.

A former New Englander, Andrew has maintained a lifelong connection to ice hockey. He has been involved in the sport for more than five decades, has served as a head coach for approximately 20 years, and is a USA Hockey Level 5 coach. He continues to coach competitive youth and college hockey with both the Jr. Steelheads and Boise State University.

The principles Andrew values in hockey carry naturally into his legal practice: preparation, discipline, teamwork, accountability, adaptability, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Outside the office and rink, Andrew leads an active and varied life. He enjoys writing, improv comedy, cooking, martial arts, and spending time outdoors—particularly skiing, hiking, and exploring Idaho's rivers and mountains.
